The SUPRA SAEINDIA 2011 is a forthcoming competition which presents the Under Graduate & Post Graduate Engineering Students the task of designing , modeling and fabricating a formula type racing car. The concept behind SUPRA SAEINDIA 2011 is that a fictional manufacturing company has contacted a design team to develop a small Formula style race car. The prototype is to be evaluated for its potential as a racing car. The event will take place from 1st to 3rd July 2011 in Chennai, India. Read more
The Formula SAE competition is for SAE student members to conceive, design, fabricate, and compete with small formula-style racing cars. The restrictions on the car frame and engine are limited so that the knowledge, creativity, and imagination of the student are challenged. The cars are built with a team effort over a period of about one year and are taken to a host institution for judging and comparison with other competitors. FORMULA SAE INDIA DESIGN CHALLENGE was held on December 11th and 12th 2009 at Anna University in Chennai. It was a historic event as it was the first time that a Formula SAE event was organized in India. With 27 teams from various colleges including IITs and NITs across the country participated to prove their technical know-how in this event. This was also the first event in which Bullethawk Racing took part. Download Results Here
Bullethawk Racing, the Formula SAE team of NSIT is a group of hard working inter-disciplinary students determined to apply their technical knowledge to face real-life challenges. The team derives its name from the word “Bullet hawk” which refers to the fastest animal on earth - Peregrine Falcon.
Subsequently, the team will be taking part in FSAE competitions abroad and will be keen to establish the presence of NSIT in the international student formula-racing scenario and put India on the global map.
Bullethawk racing is a diverse team of talented engineering students from different branches honing their skills in their specialized areas of interest, such as engine, chassis, suspension, electronic controls or body and its aerodynamics.
